Summer Day Camp for Kids (7-11 years old) near Fort Collins, CO!

Empower your child with a unique opportunity to learn valuable life skills, mindfulness, environmental stewardship, and a deeper connection with nature.
Teaching our children how to live in balance with nature is of most importance! Learning to respect and appreciate our environment, animals, and one another is key for healthy growth and sustainable living.
Kids will explore permaculture concepts, eco-minded practices, and conscious community connection at our 5-day kids camp this summer 2025! We’re located at a private property near Douglas Reservoir (6 miles north of Fort Colins, Colorado).
We’ll focus on holistic development, creative expression, nature-based learning, and teaching children with ecological life skills through hands-on workshops – all held on our sweet little micro-farm we call Fish Haven Homestead. There’s a large fenced-in backyard with organic veggie & herb gardens, fruit trees, chickens, koi pond, and huge shade structure for outdoor education.
Kids will learn how all the natural systems (water, fish, birds, seeds, compost, soil, etc) interact with each other and work in symbiotic harmony – just as we do in community! Activities will include kids yoga, gardening, nature walks, art projects, story telling, talent show, sharing circles, live music sing-alongs, games, and outdoor play! Interactive workshops will focus on homesteading skills such as collecting chicken eggs, organic gardening, water harvesting, aquaculture, composting, beneficial bugs, vermiculture (worm farm), food preservation and stewarding the land.

What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is a land use system that integrates people, the environment, and resources in a way that’s sustainable and waste-free. >> Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share <<
Permaculture is like being a nature detective, where you watch how plants and animals work together in balance. Learn to grow your own food in a way that helps Mother Earth, so nothing goes to waste and everything works together like a team. Christy Grace is also the manager of Colorado Permaculture Guild, where you can learn much more and get involved in community activities.

What is a Starseed?
I chose the name STARSEED because I love the word. All children are shining STARS with so much love and light to share with the world! The sacred geometric design for our featured graphic that I created is called the “Seed of Life” which I relate to a seed with much potential to grow and evolve into something amazing and abundant – just like a child – with proper nourishment and environmental conditions. Every child has infinite potential to be or do anything with loving the support from their parents, teachers and community.
